Chris trained at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM), qualifying in 1993, then in 1997 taking an additional course in remedial massage, gaining a BTEC Higher Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage (Credit).
Chris has undertaken additional courses in Harmonics (a muscle release technique) and Nutrition. In 1995 Craig Benedict (sports masseur to the USA Olympic team) offered her a place on his course in myofascial release (a technique similar to rolfing). This technique is unique; it produces muscle release and posture re-alignment, by freeing soft tissue tightness caused by fascia tension.
Chris is registered with ISRM (Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage) and is UK Athletic accredited.
Chris has worked with international athletes, both preparing them and then supporting them during major championships rounds.
Many sports people have regular sessions, keeping their bodies mobile.
Chris uses her skills as a remedial masseur to help with medical conditions such as frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, back pain and many other muscular problems. |
